DWar3 - Star Trek Storm
Synopsis:
The sequel to my surprisingly more popular table top wargame; DWar2 that featured players picking a well known faction from the Star Trek galaxy, choosing a fleet from a diverse selection of starships, then using tactics and strategy to win over their opponent. While I loved the level of gameplay featured in the game as it was more suitable for 10 or so ships to go head to head, larger games tended to drag on and become exhausting.
DWar3 is a complete overhaul to the previous game mechanic allowing possibly hundreds of vessels on a the battlefield and have you battling an epic combat game within 60-120 minutes. DWar2 offers the smaller scale of game with tactical gameplay while DWar3 offer grand fleet strategy as you can put ships of the same class in a group or squadron and charge them at the enemy.
As per usual the game is a completely free print & play that should have you gaming within an hour of reading through the basic rules. I have also massively improved recording ship damage and shielding that will now no longer require using a pencil on each counter to mark off damage and shield points.

Looks pretty neat, the BFG base is fairly solid.
